They say save the best for the last, and that is precisely what I have done. This is personally my favorite. The Aamby Valley City is a township resort formerly owned by Sahara and located between Lonavala. It is an experience of its own and one must have never guessed that a location as tiny as Lonavala would have another small town within itself. An absolute treat for the soul, the town has a lake of its own with water sports activities under the supervision and a variety of restaurants and bars for each day of the week. The accommodation is in the form of bungalows, furnished in wood, and has about 4-5 rooms with balconies and a parking space and a personal lawn and jacuzzi. It’s a town without any traffic and noise and the only sounds you can hear are that of the waves of the water in the lake and the birds chirping. Entertainment and outdoor activities know no bounds here, every sport is played here and equipment for everything is available. Some of the bungalows are bought but some are available to be rented for a holiday. It is a self-sufficient and safe place, totally worth the money. Per night costs starting at USD 160 (INR 12000) per night.
