Going Global! Spirit Airlines Announces Two New International Destinations from South Florida

Nonstop flights from Fort Lauderdale to Guayaquil, Ecuador and Cap-Haïtien, Haiti begin spring 2018

South Florida’s Hometown Airline is bringing More Go to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport next year with five new routes to some of the world’s most unique destinations. Beginning on March 22, 2018, Spirit will start daily nonstop service to the José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport in Guayaquil, Ecuador, the Gateway to the Galapagos (pending government approval). On April 12, 2018, Spirit will also begin nonstop service to the Cap-Haïtien International Airport, Haiti’s second largest airport, adding to Spirit’s existing service to Port-au-Prince. These new flights join three other recently announced nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale, including service to Columbus, Ohio; Richmond, Virginia; and Seattle-Tacoma. The new service includes:

Seattle-Tacoma (SEA) April 12, 2018 Daily, seasonal

This will bring Spirit up to 65 daily flights from Fort Lauderdale to 54 destinations in the U.S., Caribbean and Latin America. Spirit’s team at its hometown airport also keeps growing with 200 team members hired this year and 20 more in training right now.
