My Two Days Trip To Mussoorie, The Queen Of Hills (Best Ever Trip To Any Hill Station)
Mussoorie is a famous destination for a perfect weekend with nature. It is popularly known as “Queen of hills”. This hill station is enriched by beautiful hills, rivers, temples, valleys, and waterfalls. The place is filled with manmade and natural tourist attractions, and thus it attracts Indians and foreigners equally. Since the monsoon is a good time to visit Mussoorie, I and my three friends planned a 2 days trip to Mussoorie on 2nd and 3rd July.
On the first day, we left Karnal (Haryana) at 4:00 a.m in the morning. We traveled by Newal>Yamunanagar>Dehradun route to reach Mussoorie. Karnal to Mussoorie distance is just 240 km. We reached Mussoorie at 12:30 pm in our own car.
We visited Robbers Cave in Dehradun on the way to Mussoorie. Local people call Robbers Cave Guchu Paani. It is a very popular tourist spot. It is situated about 8 km from Dehradun. This 6-meter long cave is divided into two parts. The cave has the highest fall of 10 meters. Since this is natural cave formation rivers flow inside this cave. It has deposits of conglomerate limestone.

After reaching Mussoorie we booked hotel Sartaaj at a pocket-friendly price of just Rs.2000. After taking refreshments in the Hotel, we went for lunch. The weather outside was rainy but very pleasant. We were standing between clouds. It felt like heaven. After lunch, we went to the hotel for rest. We went for the outing at 5:30 in the evening. It was still raining.
We had corns for snacks. After that, we booked tickets for ‘Sanju’ at the Ritz cinema. After booking the tickets we did cycling there at Just Rs.100 for 1 Hour because the show was at 9:30 pm. After watching Sanju we returned to the hotel by 12:30 pm. Though it was 12:30 pm it appeared like 12:30 am, due to a large number of tourists on Mall road.

On the second day, we woke up at about 9:00 am and it was still raining. At around 10:00 we went to Kempty falls for bathing. It is almost 15 Kms from Hotel Sartaaj or Mall road. Encircled by mountain cliff, the Kempty waterfall is the most popular waterfall located on Mussoorie-Dehradun Highway.
Every year a large number of tourists are attracted to this interesting picnic spot. Best time to visit is in March and June when the weather is pleasant. The sacred river the Yamuna is just 12kms away from here. Best paragliding opportunities are offered here.

Adventure sports like cable car ropeway and ballon shooting made our visit thrilling. Best time to visit is between March and June. It is necessary to wear woolen clothes for visit in any season.
After Gunhill we visited Lake Mist at about 4 pm. Set midst of hills Lake Mist is the best example of scenic beauty. It is located on the way to Kempty falls on the Mussoorie-Kempty road. Boating, midst majestic mountains, is what attracts tourists here. Best time to visit is from September to June. It is open for visitors from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
